What is predictive maintenance?

It means the maintenance done by the information obtained from anticipating its abnormality by monitoring the status of devices. Predictive maintenance solutions incorporate intelligent systems by integrating and analyzing data collected by sensors, and having the technology for controlling and analyzing big data is now also part of its technology platform.

Large-scale factories, which run from tens to hundreds of thousands of motors, from high-voltage motors to low-voltage motors, operate a process control system, commonly referred to as the Distributed Control System (DCS), but most of the plants in the medium-scale or below can't apply such high-level systems, and the subject to which the DCS system is applied is also limited primarily to high voltage motor control. Furthermore, most of the low-voltage motors except for the special targets are excluded from the control. On the other hand, most of the motors in operation are low-voltage motors and, because most of the motors that can cause production losses are low-voltage motors which are the majority in quantity, in case of a motor malfunction, after stopping the machine operation and replace it with a repaired one or replacement, to start it again is an efficient operating method to minimize the impact of production losses on production costs due to shutdown of production facilities. To meet this trend, we propose a system that enables precautions before a malfunction occurs, by managing low voltage motor group in network.
